About St Nicholas School

Nature areas
In this section:

The conservation area

The conservation area is an enclosed space off the main playground area. Containing a pond, paths and a range of micro-habitats, it is ideal for science and nature activities such as 'mini-beast' studies.

The nature reserve

Converted from a former playing field, the nature reserve contains a variety of plant and wildlife. Constructed for educational use, the site includes a number of wildlife observation hides. The site is operated as a local resource, and other local schools are among the visitors.
