2008
was a very exciting year for
us, because in 2008 St Nicholas
Church of England School celebrated
its 175th anniversary.
A
wide range of events took place throughout our anniversary year
including a building extension which was officially opened by the
Archdeacon of Middlesex. During June we had a full week of
activities. Our Open Day in particular was a great success with two
past Headteachers visiting, together with many past pupils, some of whom were
over
90
years of age, and the Mayor. The PTA presented commemorative
medals to all present pupils and staff and on a sunny day the entire
school dressed as Victorians and paraded past the old school building
and through the High Street.
Many thanks to all the
families and past pupils who sent in memorabilia which enabled us to
decorate the school so beautifully. It really was a year to
remember. Some of those memories
are in the Historical
Photograph Collection
